Device Inventory
Introduction
The Inventory module allows you to view the details of devices you discovered in Discovery. Probe into the details through various views such as IP Address View, Device View and Table View.
Table View
The default view of the inventory is Devices, which shows extensive information on devices in tabular format. You can view details such as Instance ID, Vendor, Device Type, Device Sub Type, Host Name, Domain Name, Virtual, IP Address List, FQDN, Model, Parents ID, Platform, Reachable/Unreachable List, Services, Serial Number, Version, Last Update Time, and many more.
By default, there are 25 columns with the most commonly used device properties. Use the Columns drop-down list to add and remove columns from the current view.
The following actions are not saved and will be lost upon leaving the page.
- Add or remove columns from the table
 - Order column values
 - Filter column values
 - Apply quick filters
 - Filter by site, category, or device group.

Filter table content
The following searching, filtering, and sorting options are available:
- Use column value filters - Use the search box below each column to filter the table contents by a specific value of the particular column. Use a multi-column filter.
 - Use the Quick Filter - Use the drop-down list of quick filters containing the most commonly used column-value combinations to filter content. Use a combination of quick filter and column filter for a more granular search.
 - Use the secondary header to filter the table content by Site, device Category, or a device Group. These filters are applied over the entire inventory content and cannot be combined with each other (i.e., if you select a group filter, the site and category filters will be automatically cleared). These filters, however, can be combined with quick filters or column value filters. Please refer to Device Groups for details on device groups and categories.
 - Use the Billable toggle - Use the billable filter to see only devices that are considered billable.

Apply actions over devices
You can perform the following actions for all devices by clicking the Actions (gear) icon:
- Add Custom Column – Add a custom column to the table view. The column will be automatically included in the default list of table columns.
 - Edit Custom Column – Change a column name or column details.

You can perform the following actions for a set of selected devices by selecting them and clicking the Actions (gear) icon:
- Add Notes – Add notes to the selected devices.
 - Hide – Hide the selected devices from the Resolve Insights UI views.
 - Push to CMDB – Push the selected devices' data to your CMDB. This command automatically creates a schedule on the CMDB > CMDB Schedule tab.
 - Rediscover – Rediscover the selected devices. Not all devices are individually discoverable. You will need to rediscover some device types through their parent (for example, you need to rediscover the hypervisor to automatically rediscover VMs and other virtual appliances running on it).

You can edit the properties of a specific device.
- Navigate to Inventory > Devices.
 - Choose the device you want to edit and click on the Edit (pencil) icon under the Actions column at the end of the row.
 - Apply the changes for the selected log configuration
 - Click Save

Device View
From the default table view, you can switch to the Device View by clicking on the Views (grid) icon on the right side of the table header. This view is based on the device roles. It shows the device count under each device type, including the device count in subtypes.
Clicking a device type takes you to the inventory table, where you can explore more information about the included devices.
Use the Billable toggle to filter only the devices that are considered billable.
Address View
From the default table view, you can switch to the IP Address View by clicking on the Views (grid) icon on the right side of the table header. This view shows the list of discovered subnets and the total number of devices per subnet. By default, the first 6 subnets are selected, but you can select/deselect subnets from the left-side list that will be visualized in IP octet view.
Use the device type filters above the IP octets to see only devices with the selected type.
Hover over any device to see basic information about the device, such as IP address, Host Name, Vendor, Device Type , and Services running on it. You can view extended information after clicking the device.
